Drawing, Sketching, Ink

About The Artist
Last year, about the time "Covid" was becoming all to "real", I picked up the old pencil crayons and started using them on those nice thick pages of that sketchbook I had around. So what started off as a couple of drawings has turned into a suite of around three dozen "funny" little coloured pictures that - I now realise - represent my creative response to this crazed angst-ridden time. Working small, with some urgency, feels right - right now. My art has always been with me in one form or another, hope to keep that going.

About The Artist
I am a new artist in BC moved from Japan last year. Cloud Lady is the art series that I am currently working on, and this is one of the pieces. One spring day, I was walking around the Langley city and saw this street corner dyed orange in sunset. It was beautiful so I decided to draw the scene.

Judy Vanderveen
About The Artist
Born and raised in the Fraser Valley, Judy fell in love with all things Western and Wild. Her first painting was, done in grade 4, of a herd of buffalo. She loved it right from the start and has never changed her subject matter. With her family grown up, she now lives in her daughter’s basement suite, and paints full time. Judy has travelled within BC, Alberta, and a number of US States to gather images to paint.

About The Artist
I am a high school student in Langley, BC and have been fortunate to be able to explore many new mediums in my art classes. I not only enjoy exploring the different types of art, but I also find this a very effective way to handle lifes stresses in our current situation, our worldwide pandemic. I hope you enjoy my view of the band, the Gorilla's.
