FESTIVAL POLICIES / FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

 

The Fort Langley Jazz & Arts Festival takes the health and safety of our guests, volunteers, and staff as our top priority.  We monitor all the health notifications from the province and and immediately install all appropriate protocols.

Is there PARKING?

Park your car on the street for free throughout the Village! Handicap parking is available at Fort Langley Park for the Cool Blues Show. 

What to bring Bring your own reusable water bottle to fill up at our free water stations, your own seat (chair or blanket), sunscreen  and your dancing shoes!

What CAN’T I bring into the festival Main Stage area? No alcohol. No cannabis. No illegal substances. No glass containers. No fireworks. No firearms. No drones. No pets unless a service dog. The use of cannabis is prohibited in all public areas including the park and beer garden. All bags, coolers, etc are subject to inspection at gate entrances.

When can I enter the park area? The Fort Langley Community Park will be open at 3pm on Friday; the show begins at 3:30pm. There is no reserved seating.  

Why can’t I put up a shade umbrella or tent? The festival doesn’t allow shade umbrellas or outside tents for many reasons. They block the view of other festival-goers. They present potential danger if the wind whips up and starts knocking things around. 

Can I smoke at the festival? There is no smoking of any kind (cigarettes, cigars, vape pens, cannabis, etc.) in the park area and the beer garden. Look for the Designated Smoking Area.  We ask that smokers be considerate of non-smoking attendees and performers and smoke only in the designated smoking area. 

Is there a beer garden? Yes. You must present your valid I.D. to enter. PLEASE: DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE. 

Is food available? YES! Several food vendors offer many types of fare. Food vendors are open on Friday at 3:00pm

Is there recycling? YES! Recycle bins are available on site.

Are there restrooms? Yes! Portapotties are available throughout the festival area. 

Can I bring pets? NO! Pets are not allowed except for service animals that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for those persons with disabilities are welcome.

Accessibility:  Wheelchair access is possible. We have disabled parking available with a valid disability parking permit. We have wheelchair accessible porta potties.

Can I come on and off the site? Yes, once you have received your wristband you have unrestricted access. 

FESTIVAL POLICIES

  1. All sales are final; there are no cancellations, refunds, or credits.

  2. Tickets/wristbands are non-transferable and non-exchangeable.

  3. We are not responsible for lost or stolen tickets/wristbands.

  4. All prices listed are “per person”.

  5. All customers purchasing a ticket to the Fort Langley Jazz & Arts agree to the festival guidelines noted below. 

  6. Artists and times are subject to change without notice; the festival is rain or shine.

  7. All bags and backpacks are subject to security inspection at gate entrance.

  8. No pets, except for service dogs.

  9. No professional recording devices. 

  10. No outside liquor or food

  11. No outdoor umbrellas or tents/canopies (they block the view for others).

  12. No fireworks, explosives, weapons of any kind.

  13. No balloons, frisbees or beach balls.

  14. No glass of any kind.

PRIVACY POLICY
The Fort Langley Jazz & Arts Festival respects and is committed to protecting your privacy. Although personally identifiable information is collected when you visit our ticket site and purchase a ticket, the information is solely for the purpose of being able to bill and process ticket orders as well communicate about the festival. 

PHOTO POLICY
By entering the Fort Langley Jazz & Arts Festival, you understand that you may be photographed, filmed or videotaped, and you authorize the promoter the unqualified right to take pictures and/or recordings of you and grant the perpetual right to take use your likeness, image, photo without compensation, for broadcast or exhibition in any medium.

OFFICIAL REFUND POLICY
The Fort Langley Jazz & Arts Festival is not responsible for LOST or STOLEN tickets. Our official policy states that there will be NO REFUNDS for tickets. All sales are final. The Festival will take place rain or shine, and artists and times are subject to change without notice.

UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES
These circumstances will not be grounds for a refund, including but not limited to the following: local or national weather conditions and natural disasters, waiting in lines, road closures or traffic issues. 

FESTIVAL TALENT
A ticket is for the Fort Langley Jazz & Arts Festival, not a specific artist. Artists and schedules are subject to change without notice. Artist cancellation is not grounds for a refund.

GROUNDS FOR NO-ENTRY OR REMOVAL
Festival producers venue owners, security and event Staff have the right to refuse entry to any ticket holder, without a refund, for any reason at their discretion, including but not limited to: disorderly behavior, intoxication,  breach of security restrictions.

COVID POLICY
The Fort Langley Jazz & Arts Festival takes the health and safety of our guests, volunteers, and staff as our top priority.  We will aggressively monitor all the health guidelines from the provincial authorities  and immediately install all appropriate protocols.

CODE OF CONDUCT

The Fort Langley Jazz & Arts Festival Society, a non-profit organization, presents the Fort Langley Jazz & Arts Festival annually in July. The event is an artistic, cultural and fun-filled weekend for everyone, and we are proud to host it.

To this end we want everyone who attends to have a great time with no worries of harassment or discrimination of any kind. As a guest, volunteer or ticket holder, you are part of making the festival an enjoyable environment for all attendees.

Behavioral Expectations:

  • There will be a zero-tolerance policy for harassment or discrimination of ANY kind.

  • All guests are expected to exhibit appropriate behavior, avoiding unruly, disruptive, or illegal actions.

  • Intoxication resulting in irresponsible behavior is discouraged and will not be tolerated.

  • Foul language, obscene gestures and harassment are not tolerated.

  • Respecting all artists, staff, security, volunteers and fellow attendees is essential.

Consequences:
Violation of the Code of Conduct may lead to ejection from the venue site and could result in the forfeiture of purchasing or receiving tickets in the future.
For more serious offenses, law enforcement will be called in as needed.

Resale of Complimentary, Discounted or Vendor tickets is prohibited.
Complimentary tickets have no face value and cannot be resold. Tickets determined to have been resold will not be honored for entry and will be confiscated. Any person determined to have sold or purchased complimentary, discounted or vendor tickets will be prohibited from attending the festival in the future.
