Translink to provide FREE community shuttle for Fort Langley Jazz Fest weekend

Fort Langley, BC – The Fort Langley Jazz and Arts Festival has an exciting new partnership that will allow festival-goers access to the numerous outdoor stages spread throughout historic Fort Langley on a free community shuttle thanks to a new partnership with TransLink.

TransLink shuttle buses will connect six outdoor stages and two parking areas located throughout the village, allowing visitors to experience all the fun and festivities from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on the Saturday and Sunday of the festival (July 23 and 24).

“This summer, we are encouraging everyone to get out of their cars and explore their vibrant neighbourhoods using sustainable modes of transportation like transit, cycling or walking,” says TransLink CEO Kevin Quinn. “We are thrilled to be able to support the Fort Langley Jazz Fest and make it easier for people to enjoy the music and festivities.”

“We are absolutely thrilled to welcome TransLink as our Transportation Partner for the 2022 festival,” says festival co-founder and Executive Director, Karen Zukas. “The partnership with TransLink will allow people to take in the entire festival easily, safely and conveniently. Being able to take in the charm and character of the Fort Langley village as well as experience the entire festival will bring such added value to our attendees.”

“We are so grateful that TransLink saw the value in offering music and arts fans the opportunity to leave their vehicles at home and take transit, thereby elevating a tremendous amount of vehicle traffic and congestion from the village core.”

Another great feature of the TransLink shuttles will be a partnership with Tourism Langley which will staff the shuttles both days with festival guides who will provide information about the event as well as historical facts about Fort Langley.

The festival will also offer a free Bike Valet in the parking lot of the Fort Langley Community Hall so that cyclists can ride to the festival and safely lock-up their bikes.
