We have a brand-new sponsor this year, Valiant Insurance Brokers Inc.! They are a locally owned and operated insurance brokerage in Fort Langley, B.C. Valiant opened its doors in 2018, but the owner, Jonathan Luiten, has been in the insurance industry since 1997 and has worked for some of the largest brokers in the country.
Valiant offers a wide range of insurance products including ICBC Autoplan services, home, condo and tenant insurance, business insurance for all types of businesses, construction insurance and bonding, travel insurance and RV/Off-road vehicle insurance.
We sat down with Jonathan to find out why they became a sponsor of our Festival and what they have planned for this year’s Kidz Zone exhibit!
What’s happening at the Valiant Insurance Kidz Zone Exhibit?
We will have colouring books to hand out and we also have a colouring contest for a $50 gift card to the Lego store in Surrey!
Our owner, Jonathan Luiten, will wear an inflatable dragon costume and hand out foam swords to the kids! Around midday there will be a “Slay the Dragon of Bad Coverage” event for the kids – basically, they get to chase him down and slay the dragon!
We will have a cornhole game going, and will hand out swag and snacks and bottled water.
Why did you choose to become a sponsor of the Festival?
Choosing to become a sponsor was a no-brainer for Valiant Insurance. We wanted to express our desire to support the community, seeing that we also live, work and play here. Also, not many people know where we are (Fort Professional Building, second floor) and we wanted to get the word out as well.
What do you love most about the Festival?
Having attended a few Fort Langley Jazz and Arts Festivals in the past (being lifelong Langley residents!), we love the main stage acts and all the festivities our kids love to participate in!
