Here’s who’s performing at the Cool Blues Show at the Fort Langley Jazz & Arts Festival
Known for its vast musical lineup and plenty of activations and workshops, the Fort Langley Jazz & Arts Festival is back, taking over the Fort Langley Community Hall for two days later this month. The event draws thousands of music enthusiasts yearly and celebrates smooth tunes with a beer garden, food trucks, and more.
One of the festival’s biggest draws is the Cool Blues Show, where five blues bands will perform onstage. Here’s who is performing at this year’s show, which takes place on July 26.
Tom Lavin and the Legendary Powder Blues
With over four decades of performing experience, Tom Lavin and the Legendary Powder Blues are considered one of Canada’s most prolific blues bands.
Kenny “Blues Boss” Wayne
Known for his powerhouse vocals and advanced piano playing, Kenny “Blues Boss” Wayne has been nominated for multiple Juno Awards, winning one in 2006 for his album Let It Loose.
Rick Estrin and the Nightcats
Two-time winners of the Blues Music Award for Band of the Year, Rick Estrin and the Nightcats are known for the no-holds-barred approach to blues.
Tribute to B.B. King by Silent Partners
No blues show would be complete without respecting the industry icons that birthed the genre. That’s where Silent Partners comes in with a B.B. King tribute—fitting, as the band has a combined 30-plus years performing alongside the late musical legend.
Miss Emily
Award-winning Miss Emily is known for her vocal chops in various genres, including soul, jazz, blues, Motown, R&B, and rock ‘n’ roll.
