Welcoming Back Conwest Developments as the Presenting Sponsor of the Conwest Main Stage

We are thrilled that Conwest Developments has confirmed its continued support through 2025! They have been a proud Festival sponsor since 2019 and will return as the Presenting Sponsor of the Conwest Stage, the free main stage at the Community Hall, on July 26 and 27, 2025.

We sat down with Alicia, Conwest's Senior Director of Sales & Marketing, to talk about what supporting the Festival means to Conwest! 

Why did Conwest choose the Fort Langley Jazz & Arts Festival?

"A bit of our culture is giving back to the communities in which we live and work. The Fort Langley Jazz & Arts Festival celebrates bringing people together, including residents and local  businesses, and we love seeing how everyone at the Festival is proud to share in their enjoyment of music, art and culture," says Alicia. "I think people fundamentally connect over music, and it's incredible to see the diversity in generations that attend to celebrate jazz."

In addition to upholding their shared mission of community building, supporting the Festival has provided Conwest with unique opportunities to build relationships with neighbours born and raised in Fort Langley and the many businesses that call the area home. 

"We love connecting with businesses and hearing their stories about how they started and why they moved their business to Fort Langley or what Fort Langley means to them. It's been special following their stories and being able to support them as well," says Alicia. 

Through the Festival, Conwest has discovered local businesses to partner with, helping them achieve their own business goals!

What is Conwest looking forward to at the 2025 Festival?

"We've established roots at the Fort Langley Jazz & Arts Fest, and it's been meaningful having returning faces approach us each year and say they remember us, or 'good to see you again,' and ask us about what we're working on," says Alicia. "It will be fun this year to see how we can amplify our engagement with the community through what we present at our booth."

Alicia also looks forward to seeing the changes in the Festival itself. "It will be exciting to see what the organizing team changes this year because they always find creative ways to integrate new events and ideas! For example, last year, we hosted a Festival VIP event at one of our new communities, Leah, and it was such a warm community of people!" 

Conwest shares why it's essential to support non-profit events

"The Fort Langley Jazz & Arts Festival shows the incredible impact of bringing people together for a common cause. When you draw thousands of people year after year and combine that with other local events like Cranberry Fest or May Day, you create something much bigger," says Alicia. "This is how a community establishes a culture and a group of people advocating for one another and working towards collective betterment."

"Every great community effort starts with someone who's passionate and cares. They take that first step to create something meaningful, and the community gets behind them. It becomes this amazing cycle to the point where it feels like these events have always been around."
