Introducing the Art & Culture Zone and Stage
We're excited to unveil the all-new Art & Culture Zone, a fusion of the Fort Langley Jazz & Arts Festival's beloved Art Zone and Kidz Zone! This reimagined space promises to be a vibrant hub of creativity, performing arts, and Indigenous culture that will bring together Festival-goers of all ages.
The Art & Culture Zone reflects our commitment to accessibility and continuous improvement. It emerged from valued community feedback from attendees, workshop facilitators, and Indigenous leaders.
In previous years, Kidz Zone activities were predominantly arts-focused, and it became clear that creating an inclusive area for all ages would enhance the festival experience for everyone. By creating a more integrated space, we're breaking down age barriers and fostering the flow of creativity and learning between generations.
Additionally, incorporating Indigenous culture workshops and demonstrations into the reimagined Art & Culture Zone will create even more opportunities for meaningful dialogue, deeper understanding and mutual respect. By integrating Indigenous voices and perspectives more than ever before, we aim to enrich the festival experience while advancing our commitment to reconciliation.
Similarly to the previous Art Zone and Kidz Zone, the new Art & Culture Zone will offer an array of free activities that celebrate creativity and cultural expression. We're fortunate to partner with several community organizations, including the Langley Arts Council, Neighbourhood Art Studio, Provisions Market, and Aura Natural Market, which help make these activities possible!
The Art & Culture Zone will be bursting with interactive, engaging activities
